This FAQ addresses common practical questions about using and contributing to the Handwriting History site.
What is Handwriting History?
The Handwriting History site is a resource for studying written forms over thousands of years, from ancient writing through American handwriting and penmanship to work of the present century. The site also lists selected resources and manuscript material available online. Images shown here are drawn from institutional collections as well as from my personal collection of American handwriting and penmanship.
What if I have a manuscript I would like included?
Material is welcome here as part of a larger data-gathering effort. If you have a manuscript or sample you would like to share, please contact me and I will be glad to review it for possible inclusion.
I have more questions.
Please contact me, and I will be happy to respond.
